The Steampunk Librarian has officially moved from Blogger to Vox, where it plans to stay for the forseeable future, and there was much rejoicing.
But there was also much confusion, as I took the opportunity of moving to sit down and try to figure out whether or not other formats needed to change. Is it enough to throw out a bundle of (admittedly neato) links? Should there be actual thought and substance in some posts? Are other people taking up the steampunk cause and doing a much better job?
The answer to all these questions was yes. There will still be links, and there will be occasional meanderings that are more text than hypertext. There will be Victoriana, and there will be robots, and there will be combinations of the two. And there will also be many nods to others who are doing a fantastic job, such as Brass Goggles, Retrostacja (now also known as Steampunkopedia), Steampunk: Victorian Adventurers in a Past that Wasn't!, the nov-net community, and so much more.
(And for those of you who have stumbled over this and are wondering what on earth I'm babbling about, here's the Wikipedia explanation of Steampunk. Some think it's a subculture, others think it's a literary term, some think it's a joke. I find it fascinating, no matter what it is.)
P.S. And there will be posting! On a regular basis! Insanity!
